Shanghai's Yangshan Port Congestion

Shanghai's Yangshan Port in China is experiencing severe congestion as a result of a recent realignment of shipping alliances, bad weather and shrinking capacity. The port congestion has caused a virtual gridlock in traffic, with ships waiting at anchor for berths or being rerouted. Approximately 40 percent of container traffic channeled from the city goes through Yangshan Port.

FedEx Trade Networks will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
