My Global Trade Data Updates for USMCA/T-MEC/CUSMA
On July 1, 2020, a new trade agreement between the United States, Mexico and Canada takes effect. Known in the United States as the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), in Mexico as the Tratado entre Mexico, Estados Unidos y Canada (T-MEC) and in Canada as the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), the agreement replaces the 25-year-old North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
As of July 1, 2020, the following changes will be made to reflect the new trade agreement:
Replace all NAFTA forms with USMCA, CUSMA and T-MEC forms
Update all instances of the "NAFTA" reference to "USMCA" throughout the website
The new USMCA special program indicator will show "S" and "S+". Historical data will continue to show "CA" and "MX" prior to the effective date of USMCA on July 1
You can find the new form under the "Get Forms" sections of My Global Trade Data.
