Strike Notice at Toronto Pearson International Airport
Ground handlers working for Swissport Canada at Pearson International Airport, Toronto’s largest airport are expected to go on strike, beginning the afternoon of Thursday, July 27 and following a strike notice that was filed on Monday. This will impact most passenger and cargo operations at the airport.
Swissport handles passenger baggage and ground handling for virtually all of the wide-body aircraft at Pearson International; therefore, most baggage operations are expected to be impacted. Customers should be advised to prepare for delays.
