Increased Security in Beijing during 19th National People's Congress of CCP, October 15-28

Beijing authorities are increasing security measures over the next two weeks during the 19th National People’s Congress of CCP. The meeting begins Sunday, October 15 and runs through Saturday, October 28. FedEx Trade Networks customers should be aware of additional security measures and restrictions that may affect service. Dangerous goods will not be accepted for air export shipment in Beijing. Oversize cargo must be x-rayed to be accepted. Trucks with plates issued by outside provinces will have restricted access within the city, which may have an impact on pick-up and delivery times. Extra charges will apply for an urgent shipment.
